Before anything can happen, our first step is to visit your company to undertake a free business review. This is essential for us to fully-understand your business, and for you to get to know us and how much we have to offer.

We then make our recommendations. However – rest assured - if we find you don't need our help, then we won't suggest it. There is also no obligation to continue past this point, even if we do think you need our help.

If you do decide to take things further, then there are now several options. We would discuss each one at length with you, and select the most appropriate way forward.

Business Development

This is a similar approach to the MOMENTUM™ Managed Growth Programme, but aimed at larger businesses. Working as part of your team we will help you to find solutions to any ongoing issues, then focus on your goals, and set and achieve realistic targets.

Mentoring and Coaching

Mentoring and coaching are often confused, but the difference is important.

You would call upon a mentor if you had gaps in your skills and knowledge, and wished to ask advice (use someone else's' knowledge) on the best way to proceed.

The coaching option teaches anyone how to dig deep into their own abilities (using the knowledge they already have) in order to achieve a desired outcome.

Mentoring and coaching is applicable across the business spectrum : from an owner-manager running his own small business, through to a senior manager in a large enterprise. They are usually undertaken on a 1-1 basis, although it is entirely possible to coach teams in business (as they do in the sporting world).

Sales Development

We do believe that sales people are born, but we also believe they can be made. Made from scratch, or made into even better ones than they already are!

We offer sales development in two different parts

  • we can take people who really are not sales orientated, and help them to learn the skills they need to become more effective.

OR

  • We work with people who are currently in sales-orientated roles but who need to become more effective, more focused or simply more enthusiastic about their craft once more.

Human Resource Support

Finding and retaining the right staff is one of the most crucial, and difficult roles within a company. ETC can help right at every stage of the process, offering a combination of any or all of the following:  

  • advice on recruitment using personnel profiling
  • assistance at the interview stage
  • setting up personnel procedures within an organisation
  • sub-contracting out of HR departments
  • training and mentoring of existing staff
  • contracts and legislation advice and implementation

Training

We offer many different types of training aimed at different levels of management including:

  • Executive Training – helping manager owners to be more effective. We often find that business owners know their core trade (which is what encouraged them into business in the first place), but understandably, have had no exposure to the ‘real' business world. Nobody has shown them how to manage or what skills are required to get the best from their staff.
  • Senior Managers – From medium-sized companies through to huge Plcs across Europe , the same problems crop up. The nuts and bolts of managing people; communication; time management; how to adapt your style to suit the circumstance; negotiating skills and even cultural appreciation programmes!
